Time for a Fashion Plate

I love the guy in this one. This is from 1839. I especially like this time period. They weren’t too over the top in the hoopy department.

  1. Dody, thanks so much for visiting my blog :-). Yours is absolutely lovely, btw–what gorgeous illustrations you’ve posted! And, yes–I’m a life-long fan of Jane, but I’ve officially been part of JASNA since 2005… Read on your “About Me” page that you love A.S. Byatt’s Possession–that’s one of my favorites, too!!

  2. Love your blog, did u happen to peruse thru my archived posts? I have an 1861 collage made from an 1861 Godey’s fashions. I think you would enjoy the images.

  3. Hello and let me commend you for doing a wonderful job with this blog. Your post are entertaining and the layout of your blog is smooth and clean.

I would like to offer my congratulations as I have finished reviewing “Paraphernalia” and I’m happy to inform you that your blog has been added to Blogging Women.

I wish you continued success with this blog and all you do.
